funeral procession took place, where it went past the Elgin pub in London,
where The Clash played some of their earliest concerts.
1987: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame held their second induction ceremony in New York City. The inductees included B.B. King, Bo Diddley, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison & Muddy Waters.

1964: The Beatles were shown on prime time American television for the first time on The Jack Parr Show.
