2004: David Crosby was arrested after leaving behind a bag in a New York City hotel room which contained a loaded .45-caliber handgun & marijuana. Crosby was released on $3500 bail.
1993: Bon Jovi peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with “Bed of Roses” which was their ninth top ten single in the U.S.
1990: Aerosmith were inducted into Hollywood’s Rock Walk on Sunset Boulevard in the midst of a three night sellout stand at The Forum in Los Angeles.
1989: Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler’s third child was born, a daughter named Chelsea Anna. This was his first child with his second wife Teresa.
1975: Led Zeppelin’s sixth album Physical Graffiti was certified gold by the RIAA. In 2006 the album was certified platinum sixteen times.
1970: Charles Manson’s debut album Lie: The Love and Terror Cult was released to raise funds for his defense. The album cover emulated Manson’s cover appearance on Life magazine only with the “f” taken out.
1966: The Rolling Stones began recording “Paint It, Black” & finished the song three days later. The song went on to reach number one in the U.S.
