2004: A guitar played by George Harrison & John Lennon sold for $570,000 at
a New York auction. The Gibson SG guitar was used by Harrison during the
recording of Revolver & by Lennon during sessions for The White Album.
1992: A Toronto radio station removed the Beatles’ song “Run for Your Life” from their playlist, 27 years after its release saying that promoted violence against women.
1983: Keith Richards married model & actress Patti Hansen in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Mick Jagger was Richards’ best man.
1981: Rod Stewart’s concert at the Los Angeles Forum was beamed worldwide via satellite to a television audience of 35 million. Kim Carnes & Tina Turner made guest appearances during the concert.

1970: Creedence Clearwater Revival received a Gold record for their sixth album Pendulum which was their final album with rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty.
